This is a story told in first person by Adam the first, successfully engineered human. From him, scientists have been able to wipe out disease, deformities, death from old age, and create enhanced intelligence by the third generation. While Adam himself is far from perfect, he is revered by the rest of the perfect humanity as the first step to their perfection.
But there is a terrible price to be paid for this tinkering with the human genome. This secret has been kept from Adam, but through the actions of a few rebellious members of the third generation, he learns of it. But it is too late for those created and born after him.
The story told in this book is one that warns us of what could happen with genetic tinkering, cloning, and other modification all under the notion of creating better humans. The Nazi’s tried this and scientists are continuing this research into making all humans perfect and godlike. I understand and agree with what Mr. Beatty is trying to tell us. If we were all “perfect” what else could we strive for? Our very imperfections are what makes us individuals.
The writing and art in this book are incredibly beautiful and professional. I would love to read what becomes of Adam and those like him who were kept in secret.

Thank you for the kind review, Scott! I've been coloring, lettering and producing comic publications for others my whole life, so my Aazurn.com work is slicker than you'd expect to find in indy comics. And the "done in one, nothing else to buy" concept has turned out to be really popular with cash-strapped comic book buyers!
I wrote and produced two other books available through Aazurn.com – "Seductions," an adult, vampire love story pencilled by "Oz," "Dark Oz" and "Land of Oz" illustrator Bill Bryan, and Xeric winner "Jazz: Cool Birth," a jazz club murder mystery with illustrations, type and language inspired by '50s album cover design. Both are done-in-one, full stories in full color.
Love the Johnny Saturn online setup, by the way, slick, and easy to read with little scrolling around. Doin' it right!
Thanks, Gary! Actually, credit for the review goes to my lovely co-writer, Benita Story, who writes all the Indy Friday reviews. I read "Adam Among The Gods" as well, and I was very entertained. Thanks for the kind words on the site layout!
