Interesting point. Elite is blind to homosexuality, even though he doesn't approave of the "lifestyle." He is in denial about it as it regards his son ("No boy of mine will ever…).

I like your point about the least super of the metas. xD

So "blind to homosexuality" is the original super weakness? I wonder how many male crooks were able to escape from Elite just by kissing so he'd believe they had vanished.

The flipside of Elite augmenting and idealizing metas is that the least super of them are also the most like real people.

Well, my current thinking is this:

1) There is an unbroken link between mythological gods and heroes with superheroes, because both are pretty much the same thing.

2) The first actual superhero was Elect, and he set the tradition that everyone else lives in now.

3) As a reality bender, Elect may have inadvertably created the first superheroes, maybe even without knowing it.

4) When we see the supers gathering around Elect for a touch or a nod, each of them gains a slight boost, becoming a trifle more idealized.

5) Utopian might have gained power from his dad's presence, or perhaps he was already growing more powerful on his own, not having achieved the full extent of his powers.

You know, I doubt this explanation explains anything! Sorry!xD

Since Elect was the first meta-human (I assume that's what 'original' means, since I wouldn't describe him as having a creative flair) does that mean he dreamed the whole she-bang up ("dreamed the whole she-bang up" being my technical term for "bent reality to create superheroes, villians, and god knows what else")?

You know, I think that confidence is a big part of it. It's been fun for us to watch Utopian grow up, from the super-arrogant "I know everything" stage to the more grounded, realistic Utopian of today. I would be disappointed if any of our cast remained static.

Dr. Synn is another changed character, but I think everyone will come to see that a sane Dr. Synn is more dangerous than a psychopathic one. I guess you could say he was more Joker like, and now he's more Lex Luthor like.
