Gotta applaud the doctor’s sense of ethics, refusing to lie to Tacky even though he’s further endangering his life with every word. I wonder if he even realizes how close he is to a violent end?
Maybe he doesn’t believe ol’ Tacky would kill the messenger. If so, I get the impression he’s about to be sadly, and fatally, mistaken. Another great page, Scott. The art, the characterization, it’s brilliant.
It’s too late for the Doc, Scott all but confirmed it. Dr. Patel’s about to meet a violent and messy end.
By the way, one thing not commented on from the last comic, I don’t think, is Tactical’s explanation for quitting the battlefield soon as Alaric was blasted; Tacky was actually more concerned about saving Alaric’s life than getting revenge, at least at that moment.
Of course, that is now going to change. And Alaric’s killer Utopian is now a MUCH easier target for revenge than before. Annnnd there’s also his lover-I can see Tactical starting out by going after Utopian’s boyfriend, maybe even killing him, which MAY cause Utopian to “power up” again…
But what if these aren’t underworld doctors, but doctors who made a wrong decision at some point in time and Tactical found out about it. Blackmail, coersion, threats to family members, whatever Tactical uses can make “good” doctors work for him against their will, but with no choice. Something tells me, Dr. Patel probably falls in this category. I’m sure there are more such doctors on Tactical’s list and I just feel sorry for the next one he “enlists” to help him.

Thanks, MacNut! Adjectives like ‘brilliant’ make my day so much nicer!
Alas, Dr. Patel. A man of integrity, yet a man who should have been tipped off early by a client with badass armor.
BTW, it’s not long now that we get to see Tactical cut loose and do some damage.
whoa…step softly Doc, I think you’re going to be made an example of….an example of “Free Pain” no expense spared! Tactical is alil bit enraged…

What can be Tactical be considering here? If he kills the doctor, then no underworld doctor would ever even consider working for him again.
